The overall objective is to impart Non-Formal Education to women for solving their day-to-day problems & ensuring their participation in development process. VPF aims for Basic literacy and numeracy so every one can express their ideas in writing, can receive by reading and can maintain small family accounts and business transactions by simple calculations.
a) The confidence of not being exploited
b) General knowledge and awareness on health, hygiene, nutrition and family planning
c) Knowledge and information about dowry, marriage and divorce law and
d) Women's right.
VPF targets women between 15 to 45 years group in the proposed area and impart life based non-formal education on literacy, numeric, social rights and responsibilities for using these knowledge in solving their day to day problems and ensuring their concrete participation in development process. The learners are totally illiterate albeit as a general policy. An enthusiastic attitude is found among the learners, which is being reflected in the attendance rate throughout the whole program and their eagerness to participate in the follow up courses. Women of Kanottar, Ozar, Bhamasra, Devalsur, Dharji, Meni, Vekariya, Thori Thumbha, vasan, Nani Kumat, Thuleta and Liya have learnt to write and sign their name with help of VPFs volunteers. Weekly one hour classes in the beginning was also tough for them and in the beginning they denied as they felt that studies was of no importance to them. But the pleasure in their eyes was glowing when they were able to write their training name for the first time. And today they asked for one hour training on daily basis. |
